Hello Students & Parents, October 24, 2016
The first day of second quarter marked the end of the first quarter of this school year. The second quarter is the perfect time for looking ahead to ensure we’re in solid academic standing for the rest of the school year. Your support is needed. I encourage families to have discussions with students about their academic progress. and what they need to do to maintain or improve their grades. Please reiterate to students the importance of responsibility and grades. Please encourage and help your Flyer to read, study/review, and complete assignments nightly. I look forward to meeting some of you at conferences in a few weeks. If you were not requested for a conference and would like to meet with the 7th grade team or myself, please let me know. Enjoy the beautiful fall we are having! Dear Seventh Graders and Families,
Welcome to seventh grade and your final year at Lake Middle School! I hope you have enjoyed your summer break and are ready for school to start. I am excited to meet all of you and begin our new adventure together! We will be learning a lot of exciting things together in seventh grade. This is a very special and important year, the beginning of your journey from junior high to high school, which requires more responsibility and higher expectations in the classroom. I am thrilled to guide and support you during this exciting time in your life. We will be learning many valuable skills and will have a lot of fun together at the same time! This will be my 16th second year of teaching! Each year has brought many rewards and challenges and I have loved them all! Just like you, I am constantly learning, revising and researching each and every day. I will be learning from you just as you will be learning from me. Since I do not have much of it, in my free time, I enjoy doing nothing at all. I have two busy girls, Annie, 11 and Lena, 9. Each year I also help plan 3 charity events and have raised over 1.4 million dollars for cystic fibrosis research. When I am not at work, I pretty much drive my girls from school to endless activities, or am volunteering for the disease that my 15-year-old nephew battles daily. I love to read! I also love to cook, travel, watch sporting events, go to the movies, dine out on sushi or Mexican food, and hang out with friends and family. I have 5 sisters and 7 nieces and nephews. My life is extremely busy but I wouldn't have it any other way! I can't wait to share my love for reading and learning with you this year! If you ever have any questions, please feel free to contact me using the contact Information under the sitemap. Fondly, Ms. Bazzoli |

This summer flew by as usual but we managed to fit a ton of traveling in. In June, we spent a few wifi-free days at a rustic cabin near Hocking Hills. Mom loved it...the girls had fun too, after their anxiety of no technology wore off!
We were fortunate to stay with friends in Elk Rapids, Michigan, truly a hidden gem and our favorite place to visit! It is only 4 hours away and a beautiful, relaxing place.
Of course... swimming! This might look cool but I think the underwater case lasted a week, maybe two:(
Lena is my dancer. She participated in StarQuest Nationals this summer. This is Lena and her Lake Flyer friend and team mate, Alex Miller.
Annie got to spend a week at her favorite college, Notre Dame, for soccer camp. She was the camp's MVP goalie...I hope she is taller than her mom:)
The whole family went to church at the ND chapel and afterwards got to tour the stadium and the football locker rooms. You might see some writing prompts about "The Gipper"! It is one of my favorite movie scenes and such an inspirational story. I am on the look out for a class room sign as we should all be reminded that we are champions each day!
